QR Codes explained

QR Code example

What are QR codes? They're similar to a barcode, can be read by most smartphones, and are exceptional by comparison! They store as much information as a barcode but in a tenth of the space, can be read from any angle, and store information vertically and horizontally. QR codes can be seen all around the world from magazines to tombstones! They're a great way to publicize a website, offer a special coupon, or convey information. For example, QR codes can be found outside of many retail stores and can be scanned to deliver a coupon that a customer couldn’t otherwise access. For example, the QR code at left symbolizes the word "Tulsa," and leads to a website about art and the Art Smart Challenge contest.
